More Vegan Deodorant That Works!
Okay so I’m super thrilled about all the amazing vegan deodorant products that are available today. When I first went vegan I continued to use Mitchum because it is the only conventional deodorant that’s not tested on animals (most of the scents are vegan). Deodorants like Mitchum, however, are full of nasty chemicals and poisons, like aluminum, that seep into your skin and can cause many health problems including cancer.
Um, I’ll take the less risky Tom’s Deodorant please.
Sunny and I have both shared a ton of vegan products that work at keeping our serious BO at bay, and I have one more to add to the list! DeodoMom is a 100% vegan and cruelty-free company that specializes in producing toxin-free and hypoallergenic deodorant for pregnant women. Hey, I don’t have a vegan bun in the oven, but I do have serious BO brewing all the time, so the folks over at Deodomom sent me some of their glorious products to try out.
First of all, let me just say that there are only TWO, yes TWO, ingredients in these bad boys. Magnesium hydroxide (a mineral safe enough to eat) and water are the only components that make up this deliciousness. I have a general rule of thumb about food and beauty products: if the ingredient list consists of 10 or more things that I can’t pronounce, I don’t want this shizz on me or in me! So, since these lovies are fragrance-free, it doesn’t leave you with some crazy fruity smell, but it does keep you dry and odorless. It comes in two forms, roll-on and a cream. I actually liked the cream better because it dried faster than the roll-on.
What do you do to stay fresh-to-death? 🙂
